Our Mission

To facilitate and deliver high-quality, affordable education and training for medical and nursing professionals worldwide, with a particular focus on improving orthopaedic and trauma care in low- and middle-income countries.

Who We Are

The Orthopaedic Research, Development and Education Charity (ORDEC) is a UK-based charitable organisation founded in Hull. We are committed to advancing orthopaedic knowledge, surgical skills, and patient care through education, training, and international collaboration.

ORDEC works closely with the Hull Deformity Planning Course (HDC), an internationally recognised educational course, under the shared motto:
“Affordable education for all.”

Together, ORDEC and HDC aim to bridge the global gap in access to specialist orthopaedic training by delivering high-quality courses, supporting clinical fellowships, and donating essential equipment to areas of greatest need.
